If you are making a payment over the Internet of $500 or more, you will receive an SMS message and a code. You will then need to enter the code into your Internet banking to enable the payment to be processed. If you make a payment to an existing payee, i.e. power,phone,rates, etc, then the transaction will proceed without any verification. Internet Banking users will not be able to create payments over the $500 limit or add payees if their mobile phone number is not registered.
